This week marks the one year anniversary of the Centre Street Food Pantry and we owe a huge thanks to you for all the hours and help you have given over the past year. Shopping, lugging, stocking, helping, spreading the word, creating artwork, networking…all on behalf of the hundreds of family members who have a bit more in their cupboards or in a child’s lunch bag.  You are their safety net.
Personally, I want to thank you for responding so generously to my sometimes last minute pleas for help.  Now we know a bit more about what goes on during a holiday season! 
I have increased the slots on the first Saturday shift to help with the increased number of shoppers and we may add more to other days as well, so stay tuned.  Here are the links to the calendar for the pantry shifts and the Greater Boston Food Bank shopping excursions.

Please look at your calendar and see if you can join us on a Tuesday or Saturday to help our clients choose items from pantry shelves. We’re serving twice as many people as we saw in the fall and we need at least three volunteers each time to help keep the line moving.
