First Middlesex and Norfolk District between:

This forum will be a taped in-studio program. The public is welcome and invited to participate in the studio audience. The program will begin at 7:30 o'clock PM. Refreshments will be served.

Ward 1 Committee members Nancy Blaydes, Max Goldsmith, Betsy Leonard and Sharon Stout were among the contingent of 15 volunteers from the Newton Democratic City Committee who inspected, sorted and packed donated food and household items aggregating some 3,100 meals at Greater Boston Food Bank on May 19 for distribution to food banks, pantries and shelters throughout eastern Massachusetts. Another volunteer project at GBFB is scheduled for Saturday, July 10 from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Contact Max Goldsmith (max.goldsmith@gmail.com) for information.

At the 2010 Ward 1 Caucus of February 20, Michael Appell, Nancy Blaydes, John Bliss, Tamara Bliss, Scott Lennon, Charles Rudnick and Sharon Stout were elected as Delegates. Susan Davidoff, Geoff Epstein and Jo Forman were elected at Alternates.
2009
On August 5, Ward 1 Committee Members Betsy Leonard, Carol Kelley and Ward Chair Max Goldsmith participated in the Newton Dems volunteer project at the Greater Boston Food Bank.
At the State Democratic Convention in Springfield on June 6, Ward 1 Delegates Carol Kelley, John Bliss, State Committee member Sally Rizzo and Ward Chair Max Goldsmith participated in the adoption of the Party's Platform for the coming four years. Ward 1 Committee member Betsy Leonard also attended.
