NEWTON DEMOCRATS TO ELECT DELEGATES TO
NOMINATING DEMOCRATIC STATE CONVENTION
Registered Democrats in Newton will hold 8 caucuses by individual ward on March 7,
2026 at Newton South High School 140 Brandeis Road, Newton Centre, MA to elect
Delegates and Alternates to the 2026 Massachusetts Democratic Nominating State
Convention. Democrats who wish to participate must attend in person.
The Caucus for each ward will start at 2:30 PM.
Entrance to participate in the caucus begins at 1:30 PM
and closes at 2:45 PM. After 2:45 PM you may still enter, but only as a guest.
Hear from candidates 1:45 PM to 2:20 PM in the auditorium.
This year’s state convention will be held on Friday and Saturday May 29th and 30th in-
person at the DCU Center in Worcester, MA, where Democrats from across the state
will come together to nominate candidates for statewide office.
Please be aware this to be a two-day event and take place in-line with all federal, state, and local health guidelines.
The caucuses are open to all registered and pre-registered Democrats in Newton by
ward. Pre-registered Democrats who will be 16 by February 19, 2026, will be allowed to
participate and run as a Delegate or Alternate.
Youth (16-35), people with disabilities, LGBTQ+ individuals, underrepresented racial
and ethnic groups, and veterans, who are not elected as a Delegate or Alternate may
apply to be an Add-on Delegate at the caucus or at www.massdems.org by March 27,
2026 at 5:00 PM.
