James Talarico is a four-term state legislator running for the open Senate seat currently held by John Cornyn. Talarico’s opponent, Trump ally Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, was previously indicted on felony charges of securities fraud and impeached by the Texas House on 20 articles including bribery, abuse of office, and corruption.
Josh Turek is running for the Senate seat currently held by Joni Ernst in this battleground state. Turek is a two-time Paralympic gold medalist, and state legislator holding the reddest seat won by a Democrat in 2024. He is running against Ashley Hinson who is currently serving in the House representing IA 02 and has been endorsed by both Trump and Ernst.
